The flexible zone is an innovative program of interdisciplinary creative activities, based on self-active, discoverable, and interactive learning. Through the multi-thematic activities of the flexible zone, children's emotional intelligence is enhanced by forming a positive attitude towards learning and school. The Project method (work plans) applied within the flexible zone gives weight to the development of critical thinking and active participation. The student takes on the role of researcher, utilizes a variety of sources and knowledge from his wider environment, acquires comfort and fluency in the use of speech, takes initiatives, acts, creates original games, directs and creates thematic videos. It learns to evaluate the outcome and the process of learning. At the same time, he develops skills of effective communication and cooperation, invited to work in groups with other members of his class and the school community, as well as to present the projects in an easy-to-understand and lively way to classmates, in other classes, at student conferences.
