We want our students to participate in learning with all their senses. So we don't miss an opportunity to cook, plant, listen, see, touch, incorporating into their daily lives a multitude of experiential activities combined with the subjects they process every day. Experiential activities are an integral part of the basic program. On the occasion of the subjects processed by the group, the young students knead bread, bake grape must cookies melt chocolate, plant lentils, collect oranges and pomegranates from the garden, dress up as beekeepers, etc.
In the program of Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten, outdoor education practices are incorporated, making creative use of the area of our next grove as well as other forest areas such as The Forest of Caesarian and Parnitha. Gardening consist a favorite activity of children as it enables them to have direct contact with the miracle of nature. Having in our new yard space for the vegetable garden we are engaged in our gardening skills by carving, planting and why not eating the fruits of our labors!
Young students realize the relationship between man and the natural environment, become aware of the problems associated with it and they are active in special programs to help address them.
We want our students to love museums and make them interested in museum objects, so we visit museum spaces under the guidance of a trained museum educator, who makes a game approach to the spaces at a limited time and in selected exhibits so that students have a positive museum experience.
