Disability Day

As part of the program of cultural meetings and on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (3/12), the students of the 6th grade, on Friday, December 3, welcomed in their class our graduate Iris Angelopoulou, who with her team won Gold medal at the World Robotics Olympiad in Korea.At the meeting Iris spoke to us about the idea they had with her team to build a "guide" stick for people with visual disabilities and our students had the opportunity to discuss how important the stick is for the mobility of these people. and how it is the symbol of their struggle for independence and equal participation in human activities. The children shared thoughts and questions and showed great interest. These actions help to cultivate in our students empathy, so that in practice they contribute to a society of equal opportunities!
