It is the duty of all of us, parents and teachers, to give our children ecological education since children carry an innate love for nature and the environment. The main objective of the school is for students to be informed and sensitized about environmental issues, actively participating in actions that contribute to the protection of the environment. Our school participates in the European Environmental Education Program "Ecological Schools", operates recycling of paper, aluminum, and batteries, participates in actions such as beach cleaning and reforestation.
ECOLOGICAL SCHOOLS
The Ecological Schools program is part of the European Environmental Education Programme and has a three-year duration. Energy, water, waste are the three main thematic axes of the program. The main objective is to sensitize and inform students on specific environmental issues by actively participating in activities directly related to the topics of the program. Hatzivei School had the great pleasure and honor to be awarded with the Flag of Ecological Schools for its response and the action of its students from the very first year of the program, which had as its thematic axis energy.
RECYCLING
I love the environment ,I love life, I do something good, something positive, I help recycle. It is the duty of all of us, parents and teachers to give our children Ecological education. And it is not difficult because children bear their innate love for nature and the environment. Our School ,sensitized as it is in this field, makes great efforts for the recycling of paper and aluminum, both by its students and by the Teachers, associates and all the people of the School. The positive outcome of our efforts gives us hope every year and we ask that we have you as assistants this year as in previous years. The aim of the School is to sensitize everyone, Children, Teachers, Parents, to the global effort for protection and love in the environment.
REFORESTATION
One of the most important experiences and opportunities for experiential education is reforestation. Our students learn about the earth's natural ability to "heal" itself and how it is destroyed after repetitions of disasters in the same place. Then is the moment when we can help. Our students responsibly undertake the process of afforestation, are carefully taught the steps of preparation of the soil and the new plant and with special attention and personal physical fatigue, they achieve the work of reforestation.
